Anastasia Lam is a postdoctoral researcher at the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin and the Einstein Center Population Diversity. She received her PhD in Population Health from the University of St Andrews and the Max Planck Institute for Demographic Research, where her thesis focused on understanding macro- and micro-level inequalities in multimorbid life expectancy and disease accumulation across several non-Western and non-high-income countries. Her research aims to understand the ageing process through an interdisciplinary lens, combining epidemiology, demography, and sociology to explore how and why people age differently.
