Paul is a Professor of Gerontology at and the Deputy Director of the Institute of Medical Sociology and Rehabilitation Science at the Charité. His research expertise is centred around health care research and health promotion across the lifespan, self-regulation of successful ageing, dyadic processes in coping with chronic illness and the acquisition of health knowledge and health literacy.  Paul is a Principle Investigator for Objective 1: Family Diversity, Objective 3: Family Caregiving and Objective 5: Health and Economic Inequalities.
