How do conflict and violence continue to shape individuals and societies long after the immediate crisis has passed? This interdisciplinary event brings together Diego Alburez-Gutierrez (MPIDR), Macartan Humphreys (WZB), and Ulrike Kluge (Charité Universitätsmedizin) to explore the lasting consequences of trauma from psychological, demographic, and political perspectives. The discussion will highlight how different disciplines can deepen our understanding of the long-term effects of violence on people, populations, and societies.
