Mira is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Free University Berlin, where she coordinates the citizen-science project AMBER (“Active Mobility for Health and Environmental Protection”). Prior to joining FU Berlin in 2025, she held research appointments at the University of Potsdam (Social and Preventive Medicine), the Robert Koch Institute (co-lead, nationwide KIDA child-health study) and Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin. She completed her doctorate (Dr. rer. med.) at Charité with a dissertation on depression in patients with coronary heart disease and is also trained as a clinical psychologist and licensed psychotherapist.
Her research sits at the intersection of social epidemiology, clinical psychology and public health. Drawing on large population cohorts and citizen-science methods, she investigates how social inequality, environmental exposures and mobility patterns influence mental and physical health across the life course.
