Gaia Ghirardi is a postdoctoral researcher at the WZB – Berlin Social Science Center. Her research focuses on social stratification, sociogenomics, and educational and health inequalities. She is especially interested in studying the intergenerational transmission of education and health outcomes from parents to children, integrating sociological theories with approaches from social demography and molecular genetics.
