Anna-Kathleen Piereth is a PhD student in the Laboratory of Population Health at the Max Planck Institute for Demographic Research and the Institute of Environmental Medicine at Karolinska Institutet. Her research focuses on the demographic consequences of disease prevention in Sweden and other low-mortality countries. Beyond that, Anna-Kathleen’s research interests include the demographic and non-demographic determinants of healthcare utilization and the changes of disease histories at the population level.
