DESCRIPTION:Wie geht’s uns\, Europa? \nDie Forschung weist zunehmend auf die Bedeutung enger sozialer Beziehungen für die Resilienz hin. Menschen\, die mit ihren Partnerschaften und ihrem unmittelbaren Netzwerk aus Freundschaften und Familie zufrieden sind\, erzielen tendenziell höhere Werte beim Wohlbefinden. Aber wie gut sind Europäerinnen und Europäer in ihren sozialen Netzwerken aufgestellt\, insbesondere im höheren Alter? Und wie unterscheidet sich das in Europa? Anhand von Daten aus der Umfrage „Survey of Health\, Ageing and Retirement in Europe” (SHARE) aus den Jahren 2021-22 präsentiert Anna Rotkirch die Auswirkungen auf alternde Gesellschaften.\n\nResearch increasingly points to the importance of close social relations for resilience. People who report contentment with their partnerships and immediate networks of friends and family tend to score higher on wellbeing. But how well are Europeans situated in their close social networks\, especially in older age? How does it differ across Europe?
