Zum Mismatch zwischen Migrationsbedarfen und Migrationsabwehr – welchen Kompass sollte eine zukunftsorientierte Migrationspolitik anlegen?

There is a growing contradiction between structural migration needs and the political resistance to migration, which raises fundamental questions about the ability of modern immigrant societies to steer their course. This lecture analyzes this area of tension in light of empirical data and theoretical concepts from migration research. It discusses what normative and analytical orientation is needed to develop a consistent and forward-looking migration policy.

Zwischen strukturellem Migrationsbedarf und politischer Migrationsabwehr besteht ein wachsender Widerspruch, der grundlegende Fragen zur Steuerungsfähigkeit moderner Einwanderungsgesellschaften aufwirft. Der Vortrag analysiert dieses Spannungsfeld im Lichte empirischer Daten und theoretischer Konzepte der Migrationsforschung. Er diskutiert, welcher normative und analytische Kompass erforderlich ist, um eine konsistente und zukunftsorientierte Migrationspolitik zu entwickeln.
