We are happy to announce that our ECPD Fellow, Carla Rowold, received the DGD Early Career Award for the Best Dissertation (DGD-Nachwuchspreis für die beste Dissertation).
This year, the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Demographie (DGD) selected two awardees in this category, and we are proud that one of them is part of the ECPD community. The award recognizes exceptional scholarly contributions by early-career researchers and highlights the scientific quality and relevance of the recipient’s doctoral work.
The award will be officially presented at the DGD workshop “Arbeitsfähigkeit im Wandel: Gesundheit, Behinderung, Care-Arbeit im Kontext
demografischer Entwicklungen”, taking place on 11 February 2026 at the aQua – Institute for Applied Quality Improvement in Göttingen. As part of the award ceremony, Carla Rowold has been invited to present her research in a dedicated award session.
